Medal of Honors, two at a time

While Dan Daly and Smedley Butler have both earned two Medals of Honor making them the only two Marines to earn two MOH in two different incidents, did you know there are five Marines who earned two Medals of Honor in a single incident? All five of these Marines earned their duel awards in World War I and received one Medal of Honor from the Marine Corps and one Medal of Honor from the Army, for the same incident.

Same Medal Of Honor Twice

"Pappy" Boyington received the Medal of Honor from President Truman after 20 months as a POW.  18 months earlier he had received it, for the same action, posthumously.
